ALBUM PURCHASES AND GUIDELINES FOR U.S & PUERTO RICO

📣How to chart on Billboard 100:

✅Buy the Title Track on all digital platforms: iTunes, Amazon, & BlackPink online store

1. iTunes & Amazon:
You can buy the Title Track using 4 different iTunes accounts for each credit card/debit card/PayPal cash account you own. If you buy more than 4 times on each of your debit/credit cards, the unit sale will be counted as bulk buying and will be invalid.

For example: For my 1 Debit Card, I link the Debit Card to 4 iTunes accounts & buy the Title Track on each account. Then for my other Credit Card, I created 4 new iTunes accounts to link with my credit card in order to buy 4 more times.

2. BlackPink Online Store:
You can buy 4 copies of the Title Track on BlackPink online store for each of the debit card/credit card/PayPal cash account you own.

This limitation (4 copies per purchase) resets weekly. So for the next week, you can re-buy the Title Track again without fearing that it would be counted as bulk purchases.

📣How to chart on Billboard 200:

✅Buy Physical Albums

Rule of Thumb: 4 albums per transaction per card (or cash)

1. Online (BlackPink Online Store/Target online):
You can buy 4 copies of the physical albums on BlackPink online store or Target online for each of the debit card/credit card/PayPal cash account you own.

This limitation (4 copies per purchase) resets weekly. So for the next week, you can re-buy the physical copies again without fearing that it would be counted as bulk purchases. Your physical copies only count for the chart when they are shipped, so make sure to buy early for the first week.
Rule of Thumb: 4 albums per transaction per card

2. In-store/Retail(Target/Walmart/Barnes & Noble):
Similar to buying from the online store, you can buy 4 physical copies PER transaction PER credit/debit card in-store.

After using all of your cards, it is recommended that you start buying using Cash.

✅Buy Digital Albums

Rules of Thumb: 10 song downloads = 1 album sale

There are 3 ways to buy digital albums:

1. Method 1 (Most Efficient):

Buy the digital album on BlackPink online store. The store always has a digital copy of the album. You can buy 4 digital copies per transaction per credit/debit card (similar to buying physical copies). After buying, you have to click the DOWNLOAD link & DOWNLOAD at least 5 times PER link. If you don’t claim your download, your purchase will not count for the chart.

The 4 copies/card limitation resets weekly. So if you can, you can re-buy the following week to maintain the album’s longevity.

**Note: Though it is not proven and not recommended, various sources have said that you can re-use the same credit card in the same week, as long as you buy 4 copies/transaction and space out your purchases so that they don’t look like a bulk purchase on the record. Other fandoms have used this method to buy on the artist's online store.

2. Method 2 (Quite Efficient):

Buy the Title Track 10 times to count as 1 album unit. This is the optimal method to contribute to both Billboard 200 and Hot 100. Download 10 copies of the Title Track on different digital platforms (iTunes, Amazon, etc.) or accounts (create extra accounts or user accounts of friends/family) for them to be counted as 1 Album unit.

For example, you would download Lovesick Girls on 3 iTunes accounts, 3 Amazon accounts, and buy 4 LSG copies on BlackPink online store. That is a total of 10 song downloads. With the same amount of money spent as Method 1 and Method 3, you have contributed 1 unit to Billboard 200 (1 album sale) and 10 units to Hot 100 (10 song downloads).

3. Method 3 (Least Efficient):

Buy each track on the album. This is the least efficient method to contribute to both Billboard 200 and Hot 100. To use this method, download each track on The Album individually instead of buying the entire digital album at once.

For example: when you buy on iTunes, manually download each individual track. DO NOT press “Complete My Album”. Using this method, you would contribute 1 unit to Billboard 200 (1 album sale), & 1 unit to Hot 100 (1 Title Track download).

‼IMPORTANT RULES‼
General Important Buying Rules for US Blinks

▶Method 2 (buying 10 Title Tracks on different platforms) is the most optimal method to help chart the Title Track on Hot 100 and the album on Billboard 200

▶Always remember - 4 copies PER transaction PER credit/debit card/cash

▶Always DOWNLOAD the link 5 times to claim your digital purchases when you buy on the BlackPink online store

▶Credit/debit card reset weekly for chart tracking

▶If you decide to create and buy from multiple iTunes accounts for Method 2, do not purchase more than 4 copies of the Title Track on the same device per week.

▶Gifting digital songs on iTunes does NOT count towards Billboard charts. However, it WILL help increase BlackPink’s ranking on iTunes charts.

Buy each song on RS1 one by one on any music platforms and DO NOT select "Complete My Album"
Buy each song one by one as much as you can afford on different platforms, different devices and accounts.
Knowing that we will get a mini album for RS1 and there will be less than 10 tracks on it, make sure to buy all tracks separately and buy more copies of the title track on different platforms to complete 10 song which equavalent to one complete album sale.
EXAMPLE: if RS1 consist of 4 songs, make sure to buy each song one by one on iTunes and DO NOT select 'Complete My Album'. After that you can buy all the 4 tracks one by one again on Amazon and buy two more songs (title track and one b-side) on Google Play.

iTunes

iTunes is an iOS app where you buy songs and album.
US and Puerto Rico (PR) iTunes sale contribute to Billboard 100 and Billboard 200.

In order to access iTunes and Apple Music, you must have your own apple id on your iOS device.

NOTE:
US and PR Fansé can contact funds accounts in getting funds to buy her songs on iTunes if you can't afford to buy

While Fansé outside US and PR should donate to these funds account to help US and PR Fansé who can't afford to buy songs because only US and PR iTunes sales is counted towards Billboard chart.

How to buy songs on iTunes

before buying, set up what payment method you want to use in App Store Setting, it's either debit/credit card, phone number or eWallet. example
open the iTunes app
search for Rosé songs
click the blue outlined button that shows the price and confirm purchase by inserting apple id password. tutorial

Tips on iTunes

if she release a solo album please buy the songs separately so not only her songs will chart on Billboard 100 but her album too on Billboard 200 (if the album tracks is not less than 10 tracks)
don't click 'Complete My Album' on top of screen
don't gift songs or album since it's not counted towards Billboard chart.
keep in mind that US have small amount of Fansé so we need your help to buy the songs because only US sales is counted towards Billboard chart. Global fans will help in donating to these fund accounts.
